Modular Plate Multifunction (MPM)
The Modular Plate Multifunction is a dynamic Osteosynthesis system that can be switched from rigid to dynamic providing controlled movement, through a simple rotation of 180º dependant on the patient requirements. In the event that more flexibility is needed a further rotation of 180º provides greater movement and maximum flexibility.
Key benefits include:
- Choice of dynamic or rigid fixation:
Switches from rigid to semi rigid (providing 3º and 5º of flexibility depending on the patients condition).
- Control of movement:
When dynamic option is selected.
- Choice of mixed fixings that can be used simultaneously:
For example in spondylolisthesis S1-L5 can be fixed by rigid and L5-L4 can be fixed by semi-rigid to help and not affect adjacent level.
- Modularity:
Providing easy alignment of the rigid or dynamic plates.
- Choice of monoblock polyaxial or straight screws:
For easier alignments, in particular S1-L5 pedicular screws.
- Adaptable plates:
In a multilevel fixation, angled modular plates enable the creation of different lordosis.
- Full adaptability:
Should revisions to extend fixation be required, there is no need to remove existing elements which are already in place (with the exception of one nut). One can easily add a rigid plate or a semi-rigid plate.
- Wide Range of screws and nuts:
For every situation.
