Spineart® Baguera®Lumbar Disc Prosthesis
Spineart®’s Lumbar Disc prosthesis, the Baguera®L, benefits from many of the Baguera®C’s unique features including a Diamolith® coating that provides the implant with a high degree of hardness to avoid wear debris and improve conductivity of the PE insert.
An option of fixed or mobile nucleus can be chosen during surgery based on the patients specific condition.
- MRI compatible
The titanium plates reduce artefacts under the MRI and allow for a postoperative control. The plates are coated with Diamolith. This improves conductivity of the PE nucleus and eliminates the risk of wear debris.
- Shock absorption
The shape of the inferior plate and the PE nucleus enable absorption of shocks and vibrations up to 0.25mm – 10 times more than a flat surface design.
- Primary stability
The porous titanium coating as well as the 5 upper and 5 lower fins guarantee primary stability of the device and prevent it from being expulsed or rotated.
- Compact set
The set includes only 7 instruments.
- Mobile or fixed nucleus
The Baguera®L concept allows for choosing intraoperatively the mobility of the PE nucleus, in case of mobile nucleus, the movement is controlled to respect rotation movements.
Heights: 8 mm –12 mm with 2 mm increments
Widths & lengths:
Small - 35 mm wide x 27 mm long
Medium - 39 mm wide x 30 mm long
Large - 42 mm wide x 31 mm long
Lordosis options: 5° and 10°
Materials of manufacture:
- Inferior and superior plates are made of Titanium alloy TA6V4ELI, biocompatible to ISO 5832.3
- Nucleus consists of high density polyethylene, biocompatible to ISO 5834.2
- The surface of the Baguera®L endplates is coated with a thin Diamolith® layer, a Diamond-like Carbon coating. Diamolith® is a material with a high degree of hardness, which avoids wear debris and improves conductivity of the PE insert.
